Communication Access Real-time Translation, or CART is the method of providing a screen of text that can be viewed by either a group or an individual. CART can be provided either on-site or remotely.

On-site CART
On-site CART occurs when the captioner travels to your location. Consumers view the translation from a laptop computer, television screen, or projection screen.

Remote CART
Remote CART occurs when the captioner at an off-site or remote location and the consumer accesses the screen of text via an internet connection at the location of the meeting or event.

Types of programs where CART (on-site or remote) may be provided include, but not limited to, college classes, conference calls, training sessions, and other types of settings.
